On our first session together we discover and address your initial fears around pregnancy and birth. We delve into what we do know about it all and what we might want to know more about! We start delving into Hypnobirthing and how it works, this starts the process of retraining our brains to looking at birth in a different way. We look at how our body is designed to birth our babies and how our approach has a huge effect on the outcomes. You get your first set of home practices.
In our second session, we learn different types of calming techniques and how the way we think and the words we say have a profound effect on our minds and bodies. We also learn visualisations and how these are positively brilliant during labour. We learn different triggers to practise for a quick reminder to release and relax our muscles to encourage and reduce discomfort. We also look into how to prevent tearing and if we decided to have a cesarian how we could make it the best experience for you all. Some more home practices are set!
This session is all about our options- If we decide to be induced, how we can make it a positive experience. What methods of induction do we have the option of? How can we encourage labour if there is a medical need to? We learn how to keep confident when making choices about our babies birth. What are the signs of labour? You learn it all in this session! More home practises- Why yes of course!
This session is all about birth and the fourth trimester. What are your birth options, is a homebirth dangerous? What is the fourth trimester, do you have questions about breastfeeding? How can your partner be not only present but useful during birth? What can I expect of a newborn? We arrange a date for your Birth Plan design and discussion. Don't forget after your birth you also have a Newborn support session with me also!
The antenatal course is so packed full of information that you also have your own printed pack to make notes on and recap in your own time.
We meet after your birth to reconnect and process and feelings about everything. It's a virtual session and you can get fourth trimester, newborn, and feeding support too!

After your course- We arrange a time to design your very own birth plan. We go through and visualize your birth and think about things to aid you and your body. Organise this before your midwife appointment for something to take with!
